Scholarship Athletes
All Star Video Sports takes great pride in helping high school athletes make it to the next level. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with some excellent young men and women. Their hard work and dedication earned them their college scholarship or roster spot.
We have had multiple ASVS athletes who have gone past the collegiate level and moved on to the professional…Adam Giacalone, Thomas Taylor, Bobby Wernes, Colton Murray, and Michael Morin.
In the summer of 2015, Bobby Wernes helped the Arkansas Razorbacks reach the College World Series, and after was drafted in the 30th round by the Houston Astros. In Wernes’ first month with the Tri-City Valley Cats (Astros Class A Affiliate), he promptly received the MiLB Player of the Month award with a .341/.430/.365 slash line. Wernes continued to thrive, finishing his first full season with a .351 batting average and taking the New York-Penn League Batting Title. Colton Murray made his Major League debut for the Philadelphia Phillies on Sept. 2, 2015, following a season of success with the AA and AAA Phillies’ farm teams. Michael Morin has played at the highest level with multiple big league clubs, including the Los Angeles Angels, Kansas City Royals, Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers, and Miami Marlins. At the end of the 2020 season, Morin has logged 228 innings pitched and recorded 194 strikeouts in 7 years in the majors as a reliever.
All have found large success in their young professional careers.
